BUILDING
Autonomous, Intelligent & Trusted Enterprises for the AI Economy
OVERVIEW

Qatar is rapidly positioning itself as a regional hub for Artificial Intelligence, digital innovation and data-driven transformation, with AI becoming a strategic priority across government, finance, healthcare, energy, transportation, manufacturing and enterprise services. Under Qatar National Vision 2030 and Digital Agenda 2030, the country is investing in secure digital infrastructure, emerging technologies, AI talent and innovation, with a target of creating 26,000 ICT jobs and generating approximately QAR 40 billion in annual digital economic impact by 2030. Qatar’s AI market is projected to grow from approximately QAR 1.56 billion in 2024 to QAR 7.07 billion by 2030, representing a 28.66% CAGR.

The next phase is moving beyond experimentation toward enterprise-scale and government-wide AI adoption. Qatar’s GovAI programme, national AI initiatives and the development of Fanar, an Arabic-focused AI model, demonstrate the country's ambition to build local AI capabilities while deploying AI across public services and strategic sectors. New developments are also accelerating the market: Qatar launched Qai, a national AI company backed by Qatar Investment Authority, in 2025 to develop and invest in AI infrastructure and systems, while the country is increasingly exploring sovereign AI, AI infrastructure, agentic AI and trusted computing.

At the same time, Qatar is moving toward a more structured framework for responsible, secure and governed AI adoption. The emerging National AI Policy focuses on digital infrastructure, data and information, human capabilities, institutional capacity and AI governance, while national AI security guidance highlights privacy, cybersecurity, transparency, accountability and responsible deployment. Financial institutions are already subject to QCB guidance covering AI strategy, risk assessment, information security, business continuity and resilience. Against this backdrop, the Future AI Summit Qatar, taking place on 25 November 2026 at Hilton Doha, will bring together CIOs, CTOs, Chief AI Officers, CDOs, Chief Data Officers, innovation leaders, cybersecurity executives, government decision-makers and AI technology providers to explore how organisations can move from AI experimentation to trusted, scalable and business-driven AI transformation.
