Qatar is making a strong push to become a key player in the global AI landscape. The nation has committed a substantial $2.5 billion investment to drive AI adoption and attract international AI companies. This effort is underpinned by a comprehensive data strategy that forms a vital part of Qatar's broader "Digital Agenda 2030." This ambitious agenda aims to position Qatar among the top 10 globally for digital competitiveness and create 26,000 new jobs through strategic investments in digital infrastructure, government services, the economy, emerging technologies, innovation, and society. Research indicates that AI could significantly boost Qatar's economy, potentially generating $11 billion by 2030.

To achieve these goals, Qatar is actively establishing government technology initiatives, investment funds, and startup programs specifically designed to support the growth of the AI and emerging technology sector within the country.
